Checklist 4 Summer reading

My checklist of GREAT summer reading. (these books are (preferably) meant for girls, or moms & daughters.)

#4- Extras. (girls-fiction)

(those 4 books are in a series)

#5- Daughters of destiny. by Noelle Wheeler (girls-true stories)

#6- Beautiful Girlhood. by Karen Andrealo (moms & daughters-lessons)

#7- Knowing God. by J.I. Packer (everyone!!theology)

#8- Do Hard Things. by Alex & Brett Harris. (teen theology) I would recommend it to everybody!!

#9- The Covenant. by Beverly Lewis

(I'll update this later when I can read some good books. But 4 now, enjoy these few selected ones.)

The checklist of boredom

The top 14 things to be concerned about if you're bored.

#1- you start taking pictures continually of yourself.

#2- you start taking random pictures of the floor, a window, fruit, and/or your hand.

#3- you start mopping the floor.

#4- you start reading that book your mom told you was really good, you just didn't believe her.

#5- you watch the movie you just watched last night, that also you've seen like a BILLION times before!!

#6- you start looking at yourself in a cup.

#7- you start texting people on your parents hand-me-down phone, even though it has no service.

#8- you start looking at a dollar bill thinking you might find a treasure map.

#9- you look at yourself in the mirror cross-eyed.

#10- you lay on the couch and see if you can keep up/follow the ceiling fans blades.

#11- you start cutting coupons.(no offense to anybody)

#12- you start eating continually!!!!

#13- you start snapping your fingers to see how well you do it.

#14- you pick your nose. (I know it's SUPER gross, but hey people, we know we all do it at some point or another :-)

Just another day

So it's just another day, we had Sissa over 4 a sleepover last night, and we went 2 Subway 4 lunch today. I ADORE Subway!!!! Now that she went home, lil' sis & I are just here @ Matt & Becky's, and we're playing with Drewby right now. He's TOO cute!!!! I love him 2 death!!!! Matt & Becky went 2 a SUPER nice dinner & Becky invited Shelly as her friend to it. They're SOO cute, we got here & they both were still getting ready. When they left, they both looked SUPER hot/gorgeous!!!! They could b models!!!! seriously!!!! :-) (thank me later becky, hehe) So now, we're just hangin' until "uncle Jesse" comes & picks up Drew 2 sleepover @ his house. Then my parents r gonna pick us up. It seems like we practically live here, lol!! cause we've already been here twice this week & a couple times this month. I'm gonna TOTALLY gap cause i'm excited 'bout something!! Shelly asked lil' sis & I 2 babysit her 2 ADORABLE little kids, Jace & Lincoln! So we're babysitting them in a couple days. I'm SUPER excited!!!! Cause it's our first time babysitting them. Plus Shelly's SUPER cute & I want 2 get 2 know her better, she's SUPER SUPER SUPER nice!!!! anyhoo, i'm probably boring u OUT OF YOUR LITTLE MIND!!!! so i'll leave u with this random quote by Charles Spurgeon. "There are no crown-bearers in heaven that were not cross-bearers here below."

I figured, since my friends will be coming 2 my blog, i should probably put something about them on it :-)

Here's 2 some of my friends i love so dearly!

Ren- we've been thru SO much together, I'll love u 4ever! Our friendship means everything 2 me! we're like 2 peas in a pod :-)

Grace- we've also been thru a LOT, and I'm SO glad 4 ur friendship! Thank God 4 working in both of our lives, cause without him, well, let's not even go there :-) love love

Tay (twinkle)and Madi (minnie) I love u sisters! even tho ur not really my sissy's, i count u as 2 of my dearest friends, and I will always hold ur friendship very dearly! Thank God for friends like u!

Charissa- even tho ur like my lil' sisses friend, i think of u as 1 of my closest friends. I count u as part of my fam, cause ur just like a lil' sis 2 me :-)

Lil' Sis- ur my sister, so u know I love u :-)Wow, where do i even begin, ur SUPER special 2 me

even thru the ups & downs, I want 2 let u know, i'll always b there 4 u, & I'll ALWAYS love u.

k so the other night i was babysitting 1 of my FAVORITE little boys in the whole wide world, a three year old named Drew. He was ready 4 bed and I said if he hurried & cleaned up his toys, we could cuddle 4 a little bit. He excitedly agreed (since he obviously wanted 2 prolong the inevitable for as long as possible :-) and there we were on his air mattress. And this is how it went.

(big sis closed her eyes then opened them, & each time she did so, drew cracked up Histarically! this went on for a while, and then....

big sis: ok drew, u need to go to bed now, i love u, and i'll c u on friday! (i'm babysitting him again on friday)

drew: but i don't want u to go! (he then draped his little arm around my neck and looked @ me pleadingly :-)

big sis: ok, maybe five more minutes

(then we proceeded to play our little game in what time we had left)

I felt heartbroken to leave that sweet little boy, but after I did, he fell asleep very quickly. Even though i don't have little little siblings, he feels like my little brother- and i'm SO privilaged 2 be able to watch him. Love u drewby!!

Big sis

Ice Cream!

Hey.

This is lil sis. Today my mom and I went to go get ice cream.  So it's an old sort of tradition with my mom, uncle and me. We LOVE black licorice ice cream.  We haven't been able to find in in like FOREVER! So we went to get water, and I said "I'm just gonna look and see if they have it" and lo and behold there it was, standing in all it's glory, reigning from the freezer.  So my mom and I went to go get it.  And now there's a joke about it being gak (like on webkinz.)  Okay, black licorice ice cream sounds super disgusting right?  Well it's not.  It's actually really creamy and sweet and soft and fluffy and yummy and mouth watering and. . . WOW I got really carried away in just telling you what it was. Any way, that's my story about the wonderful day with my mom and ice cream.
